Off-2-CollegeTours
College Tour Planning

How We Work

What we'll need from you:

The Student/Tour Information page is broken into three (3) sections:

1.  Student/School Information:
       • The student’s name
       • A list of colleges and universities to visit (and their priority)
       • Questions asked by schools on their reservation forms for Campus Tours and Information
Sessions forms that we need to make those reservations

2.  Travel Party Information:
       • Number of travelers, contact information, etc.

3.  Travel Logistics:
       • Start/finish dates (firm or movable)
       • Rental car/hotel/flight needs

 What we do next:

 • Construct a preliminary schedule  - is your allotted time sufficient for your school list
 • Create an email dialogue, which determines final schedule, at which point a Preliminary
     Itinerary
is generated
 • If changes are necessary, we create an email dialogue to determine the final package, at
which point a Preliminary Itinerary is generated
 • A 4-school deposit becomes due once your Preliniary Itinerary has been finalized (more fully
    explained under Our Cost).

Note:  even under ideal circumstances your Preliminary Itinerary is not generated instantly; each one is done "by hand."

After you make your deposit we:

 • Make Information Session and Campus Tour reservations
 • Schedule interviews with Admissions, Departments and Sports Coaches (where available -

for an extra charge)
 • Generate links for Expedia Affiliate Network (EAN) travel reservations - hotels are listed by
distance from schools (you are not required to make travel resrvations through our site)

The final Itinerary includes:

• Your Tour Calendar
• School confirmations and appointment times
• Travel confirmations (whether or not booked through our site)
• Addresses for reservation-dependent locations (for GPS input)
• Campus map links
• Turn-by-turn driving directions
• Travel-time estimates between stops
• Mass transit system map links and public transit directions in cities where public transit is an important tool (additional charge)

...all contained in one document, emailed to you!
